Parliament session was suspended as the Opposition began to chant “Gota go home” this morning (05).
Opposition Parliamentarians started shouting “Gota go home” when Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was making a statement regarding the progress of the discussion with the International Monetary Fund.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa suspended the sessions for ten-minutes.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who was present in Parliament to attend sessions, left the chamber after the session was suspended.
