Sri Lanka’s headline inflation could increase to 70% in the next few months, the Central Bank Governor, Nandalal Weerasinghe said.
He made these remarks during a media briefing in Colombo today (07).
Weerasinghe stated if inflation increases further, companies will face major difficulties to remain in business.
The Governor stressed despite the implementation of a fuel pricing formula, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation continues to incur losses.
