The Speaker of the Parliament will take over as temporary President according to the constitution, Rauff Hakeem said.
Participating in the party leaders’ meeting, Hakeem added that a decision has been taken to ask both the President and the Prime Minister to resign. However Ranil Wickremesinghe has disagreed.
Party Leaders to immediately agree on an all party government. This has a few glitches and several alternatives are being discussed.
