The Speaker of the Sri Lanka’s Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said he had received a resignation letter from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa through the Singapore Embassy in Sri Lanka.
He added that he would make the official announcement tomorrow (15) after verifying its authenticity and finalising all legal matters.
