Nine sailors attached to the Sri Lanka Navy have gone AWOL (Absent without official leave), after arriving in the United States (US).
The sailors, who are believed to have escaped to the US, belonged to a Navy contingent sent to train there and return with a vessel which was recently donated to Sri Lanka by the US Government.
