Japan expects IMF talks to make progress under Ranil’s leadership

Japan expects the negotiations between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Sri Lanka on debt restructuring to swiftly make progress under President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s leadership.

In a letter to the President, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said he looks forward to seeing political stability being ensured in Sri Lanka.
